Affiliate Relationship Disclosure

The Federal Trade Commission requires that we disclose any relationship we have between a product manufacturer or service provider when we write about or otherwise promote a product or service.

Simply Speaking, Inc. (dba SpeakerMatch) accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions and other forms of compensation. We do not accept money to review a product or service.

The SpeakerMatch staff will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made on our website. That content, advertising space or post may not always be identified as paid or sponsored content. An upcoming seminar, for example, might be highly promoted because of the timeliness and the level of compensation we receive.

In most cases, we don't pay for the products we test or services we review. They are sent/comped to us by the manufacturer or service provider. Rarely do we request a product. In almost all cases, the manufacturer or service provider approaches us first. If we feel it's a product or service our audience would benefit from, then we request they send us the product or somehow let us experience the service.

When we create a link to a product or service on our website, sometimes we may get paid a commission if you purchase the product or service. This is also true in the case of teleseminars, podcasts, e-mail, our own social network posts, and our Behind the Podium newsletter.

We generally don't draw attention to the fact that there is an affiliate relationship when we promote products and services. You know we're in business to make money. But, as stated before, we will only endorse and promote those products and services we believe are worthy of our endorsement. You should make an educated decision before you make any purchase.

If you do make a purchase based on our endorsement, we always appreciate feedback. Hopefully, you'll be pleased with our recommendation. But we will certainly remove our endorsement if we receive enough feedback that would warrant that decision.

Special Note:

Our members may post their own entries on our website in many forms, including articles and blogs. They may be compensated to provide opinions on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on pages of our site may not reflect the views and opinions of Simply Speaking, Inc.

Because some content on our site is user-generated, if any statement or claim appears to be from an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, please note that this may not be an accurate representation.

We believe that disclosure policy such as these are good rules and practices in today's digital world. It's important for you as a consumer to understand the relationship between a service provider and an endorser.  Let us know what you think of this policy by contacting us through our support center at https://support.speakermatch.com.
