Affinity Partner Program FAQs
This article answers common questions about the SpeakerMatch Affinity Partner Program. It’s designed to clarify how the program works and address typical concerns from organizations and chapters.
Is this a sponsorship or endorsement?
No. The Affinity Partner Program is not a sponsorship or endorsement arrangement. It allows organizations to share a member benefit while earning chapter funds when members choose to join SpeakerMatch.
Do we have to promote SpeakerMatch on an ongoing basis?
No. There is no required promotion schedule. Organizations choose when and how often to share SpeakerMatch with their members.
Can multiple chapters or groups use different Affinity Partner codes?
Yes. Each organization or chapter can have its own Affinity Partner link or code so signups are tracked correctly and chapter funds are credited properly.
Is there a limit to how many members can use our link?
No. There is no limit on the number of members who can use an Affinity Partner link or code.
What happens if a member forgets to use our link or code?
The discount and tracking must be applied at the time of signup. If a member signs up without using the Affinity Partner link or code, the discount and chapter credit cannot be applied retroactively.
Are members locked into long-term contracts?
No. SpeakerMatch memberships are not long-term contracts. Members may cancel their subscription at any time.
Cancellation alone does not affect chapter funds that were earned.
What are clawbacks, and when do they apply?
A clawback is the reversal of chapter credit that occurs only when a member receives a refund. Clawbacks do not apply when a member simply cancels their subscription.
SpeakerMatch offers an eight-week money-back guarantee. If a member requests and receives a refund during this guarantee period, the chapter credit associated with that signup is reversed.
Clawbacks are handled internally and are never billed back to the chapter. They simply appear as a negative line item in SpeakerMatch’s tracking ledger.
If a member cancels their subscription without requesting a refund, the chapter credit remains and no clawback occurs.
Can we stop participating in the program?
Yes. Participation is optional, and organizations may stop sharing their Affinity Partner link at any time.
Who is the Affinity Partner Program best suited for?
The program works best for organizations, chapters, and associations that support speakers, professionals, or members interested in speaking opportunities and professional visibility.
Are there any fees to participate?
No. There are no fees to become an Affinity Partner.
