Encourage resolution of the job

I've won a few jobs on the site (thank you), but one consistent thing I've noticed both on those I've won and those I've come close to winning, is that the organization listing the request manage the flow differently and in a manner that miscommunicates status.

For example, on the jobs I've won, I've gone from pending to under review to short listed, back to under review, and I believe they are all sitting at pending now - even though I have contracted gigs. The system does not appear to do enough to encourage them to close out the job or otherwise keep the status up to date. At one point I thought I had lost a deal because we went from having an unformalized agreement to them moving me back to pending.
